Amanda Harrison of Cummings Graduate Institute for Behavioral Health Studies Appointed to the DEAC Standards Committee

Cummings Graduate Institute for Behavioral Health Studies (CGI) is pleased to share that Amanda Harrison, CGI’s Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed to the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) Standards Committee for a 3 year term beginning August 2, 2022 through June 30, 2025. The Standards Committee makes recommendations to the Commission to refine and/or revise the DEAC accreditation handbook standards to ensure that they continue to meet the needs of students and member institutions. 

Mrs. Harrison’s participation and engagement as a member of the Standards Committee is important to the success of the DEAC organization and the implementation of DEAC’s reorganized standards. Additional members of the committee include Amy Dubitsky, Chair of the Standards Committee and Janet Perry as well as DEAC Board members, Khalilah Burton and Wanda Nitsch.

Of her recent appointment, Amanda Harrison, shares “I am very excited to be selected to serve on the DEAC Standard Committee. The Standards Committee provides oversight to allow DEAC to continue demonstrating excellence in its accreditation. Being a part of this committee is an honor and I am excited to serve my term.”
