Domain A is a 20 hour Qualified Behavior Analyst (QBA) course providing an overview of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and the physical and mental health conditions that are commonly associated with it.

Domain A satisfies the minimum requirement of 20 hours in autism core knowledge required by QABA® for the Qualified Behavior Analyst (QBA) credential. This course can serve as a bridge course for those missing the Autism Core Knowledge required by QABA® from other institutions.

Domain A is an online, synchronous 6-week course with weekly modules. The course includes weekly readings, quizzes, discussions, and live online webinars.

Course Description

The Domain A course provides an overview of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and the physical and mental health conditions that are commonly associated with it. Emphasis is placed on how biopsychosocial context can impact an individual’s access to diagnosis and treatment of ASD, in addition to how integrated care can be tailored to promote more effective, timely, person-centered care to people on the spectrum.

The Domain A course includes live class meetings, called webinars, every week. These webinars are held virtually via Zoom. The webinars are 1 hour in duration. Attendance is required at these webinars. Webinars are recorded and available to watch later if a student misses a live webinar.

The Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board (QABA®) is an internationally-accredited credentialing agency dedicated to ensuring the highest standard of care among professionals providing applied behavioral analysis (ABA) services.

QABA® Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old
  • Applicants must possess a minimum of a master’s or higher degree from an accredited university for higher education
