February 13, 2021
Cummings Graduate Institute for Behavioral Health Studies (CGI) proudly shares their designation as a Military Friendly® School with a Top Ten School status for the 2021-2022 Military Friendly® Cycle. The Military Friendly® Schools list, released annually, sets the standard for higher education institutions providing the best opportunities for veterans and their families. The Military Friendly Top Ten designation, earned by Cummings Graduate Institute, is the highest level award granted to institutions. According to Military Friendly®, schools receiving the Top Ten School designation are the guidon bearers for programs and initiatives serving military and veteran students and families.
More than 1,200 schools participated in the 2021-2022 survey, with 747 schools earning the Military Friendly® designation. The 2021-2022 Military Friendly® Schools list will be published in the May issue of G.I. Jobs magazine and can be found at MilitaryFriendly.com.
Institutions earning the Military Friendly® School designation are evaluated using public data sources for more than 8,800 schools across the U.S. and responses from participating organizations. Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by Viqtory with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining the institution’s survey response set and government/agency public data sources, within a logic based scoring assessment. Military Friendly® measures the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment, Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer) and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.
“It is exciting to receive this designation for our continuous commitment to creating positive education outcomes for veterans and their families.” – Dr. Joshua D. Watson, Ed.D., Assistant Director of Student Services at Cummings Graduate Institute.
