Who should attend the conference?
The conference is designed for multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, leaders, researchers, providers, caregivers, and other stakeholders who are engaged in healthcare design, delivery, and improvement. Who should attend:

What type of weather can we expect in October?
While the weather can change, it is typically a high of 90-95 degrees Fahrenheit and a low of 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit in the Metro Phoenix area in October.

What is the dress code for the conference?
We encourage conference guests to dress comfortably. For presenters and conference staff, we request Business Professional conference attire.

Are accessibility accommodations available?
We value inclusion and access for all participants and are pleased to provide reasonable accommodations for this event. Please contact info@cgi.edu to make an accommodation request. Requests must be submitted by October 1, 2023.


Presentations & Poster Submissions

When will the call for presenters open?
The call for presentations and posters has closed. You can find information here. The deadline to apply was May 10, 2023.

My proposal is from a group. Does each group member need to submit an interest form?
Please submit one interest form per presentation or poster proposal. If you are submitting a presentation or poster submission with more than one author or presenter, each individual author will need to submit their bio, headshot, and CV as a participant in the interest form.

Can I submit multiple proposals?
Yes, you may submit as many proposals as you wish. Please submit one interest form per presentation or poster proposal.

Can I submit both a presentation and poster proposal?
Yes, you may submit both presentation and poster proposals. Please submit one interest form per presentation or poster proposal.

When will presenters be notified if their presentation or poster proposal is accepted?
Applicants were notified in May of 2023.

What is the start and end time for the welcome reception on Monday, October 9, 2023?
The welcome reception will take place Monday, October, 9 2023, from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m, Arizona Time.

What are the start and end times for the conference on Tuesday and Wednesday?
The conference program starts at 8:00 a.m. Arizona Time on Tuesday, October 10 and Wednesday, October 11, 2023. The conference program ends at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10 and 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2023.

How do I know if I am to attend any of the meetings prior to 5 p.m. on Monday, October 9, 2023?
All meetings taking place on Monday, October 9, 2023 prior to 5 p.m. Arizona Time are invitation only. All meeting guests will receive an invitation for each meeting. If you do not receive an invitation for a meeting, your attendance is not required.

Will there be CME/CNE/CE credits given for attendance to the conference?

Cummings Graduate Institute for Behavioral Health Studies has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7174. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Cummings Graduate Institute for Behavioral Health Studies is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Up to 12.5 hours of CE credit provided by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) can be earned by attending the 2023 CGI Integrated Care Conference sessions on Oct. 10th and 11th. A maximum of six (6) hours of CE credit can be earned on Oct. 10th and a maximum of six and a half (6.5)  hours of CE credit can be earned on Oct. 11th.

Can I attend the conference virtually?
The conference is offered in-person in Chandler, Arizona. No option to attend or present virtually is available at this time.

Registration opens May 31, 2023.

What is the cost of registration?

Early Bird Registration - $349 USD

Standard Registration - $399 USD
Available: July 1, 2023 – August 31, 2023

Late Registration - $499 USD

Will I receive a confirmation of registration by email?
Yes, you will receive confirmation at the email address provided in your registration form.

Will I receive a credit card receipt by email?
Yes, you will receive a payment confirmation sent to the email address provided in your registration form.

May I or my organization pay by check?
Yes, there will be options for organizations to pay by check. Contact finance@cgi.edu for assistance.

How do we receive an invoice and W-9 form if we choose to pay by check?
Contact finance@cgi.edu for assistance.

How many meals are provided at the conference with conference registration?
Food and beverage is provided at select times to registered conference guests:

  • October 9, 2023, Welcome Reception: light appetizers and hosted bar will be provided at no additional cost
  • October 10, 2023, Conference Program: continental breakfast and lunch will be provided at no additional cost
  • October 11, 2023, Conference Program: continental breakfast and lunch will be provided at no additional cost

Travel & Lodging

What airport is closest to the conference location?
Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) is approximately 20-30 minutes by car from the Gila River Resorts Wild Horse Pass Conference Center, 5040 Wild Horse Pass Blvd, Chandler, AZ 85226 https://playatgila.com/resorts/wild-horse-pass/

What’s the best way to get from the airport to the conference hotel?
Various options are available such as taxis, reserved sedans, Uber/Lyft, and other ride-sharing options. Car rental offices are located just outside the airport and arriving passengers enjoy complimentary shuttles to rental car offices.

Is complimentary transportation to conference hotel from the airport available?
Complementary transportation to the hotel from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is not provided. Ride sharing, taxi, rental car, or private car service are recommended for travelers arriving by air. The hotel is approximately 20 minutes away from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

Is no-cost parking available at the conference hotel?
Yes. Self-parking in both the parking garage and open lots is available at no cost for day-parking or overnight parking. There is a cost for valet parking.

What is the special group rate available at the 2023 Conference?
The special room rate available to 2023 Conference attendees is $185.00 plus tax per room per night. This is single or double occupancy. The rate is also available 3-days before and 3-days after the conference dates. The special group rate is available to book through September 11, 2023 at 5 p.m. Arizona Time.

What types of amenities are available at the Gila River Resorts Wild Horse Pass Conference Center?
This AAA Four-Diamond Awarded conference center is located at the Wild Horse Pass Destination and neighbors 36 holes of Troon Golf, Aji Spa, Koli Equestrian Center, and Phoenix Premium Outlets. All of this is located less than 20 minutes from Sky Harbor Airport. Wild Horse Pass has twice been voted Best Casino in the Valley. This East Valley hot spot features restaurants and lounges. Desert views, city skyline, and outstanding amenities await your arrival. Standard hotel rooms offer:

  • 1 King, 2 Queens or 2 Double Beds

Are registration fee scholarships available?

Are lodging discounts available?
We have secured a group discount expressly for this conference through the Gila River Resorts Wild Horse Pass Conference Center of $185/night plus tax, single or double occupancy. If I’m selected as a presentation or poster presenter, do I receive waived conference registration fees?
Conference registration fees are waived for keynote, breakout session, and poster presenters.

If I’m selected as a presentation or poster presenter, do I receive complimentary or discounted lodging at the conference hotel?
No additional waiver or discount will be available in addition to the group discount rate available to all conference guests.

Do nonprofit organizations qualify for discounted registration?
Nonprofit organizations wishing to send 2+ representatives or employees to attend the conference should email info@cgi.edu for group registration information.

Do groups qualify for discounted registration?
Organizations and businesses wishing to send 2+ representatives or employees to attend the conference should email info@cgi.edu for group registration information.

Do faculty or teachers qualify for discounted registration?
CGI faculty qualify for a discounted registration fee. Discounts are not available for faculty members or teachers at other institutions.

Do students qualify for discounted registration?
There is a discounted rate for students.

Can CGI students apply for a CGI professional development grant to attend the conference?
Yes, CGI students may apply for a professional development grant to attend the conference. For information on how to apply, visit: https://cgi.edu/scholarships/.

Do Doctors of Behavioral Health get discounted registration?
Discounts are not available for Doctors of Behavioral Health, unless you have graduated from Cummings Graduate Institute for Behavioral Health Studies with a DBH degree.

Do CGI alumni qualify for discounted registration?
There is a discounted rate for CGI alumni.


Sponsorships

What sponsorships are available for the 2023 Conference?

Is there a deadline by which a sponsorship application must be submitted?
Sponsorship applications received by September 1, 2023 will receive priority. Applications received after September 1, 2023, will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Early commitment to a sponsorship will result in the best marketing benefits for the organization.

When do we have to pay for our sponsorship?
Sponsorship payment is due within 30 days of the application. Sponsoring organizations will receive an invoice from CGI indicating the level of sponsorship, dollar amount, and remittance options.

Other Events and Conferences

When and where will the 2024 conference take place?
We anticipate the 2024 Conference will once again be in the Phoenix Metro area. We are working on the venue and dates and will announce plans as soon as they are finalized, most likely right after the 2023 Conference. Please be sure to join the Conference mailing list to receive the latest updates.


Cancellation Policy

What is the cancellation policy and timeline?

Cancellation of standard guest, student and CGI alumni participation at the 2023 Integrated Care Conference may take place at any time. Registration fees are refundable until September 15, 2023 after which fees are non-refundable. We will, however, honor substitutions after September 15, 2023 and will apply the registration fees to a designated substitute. Substitutions will be accepted until October 1, 2023.

Each presenter is carefully selected by the Conference Planning Committee. If something should occur that would make it impossible for a presenter to arrive on time for their presentation, the presenter should notify the Conference Planning Committee by email that they can no longer fulfill their presentation duties as early as possible. The Conference Planning Committee is unlikely to be able to find a replacement should a presenter cancel after September 1, 2023. All selected presenters are asked to make travel arrangements, book hotel rooms, and make every effort to be considerate to the Conference Planning Committee in confirming their intent to present at the conference. Substitutions and virtual presentations are not permitted. Should a former presenter wish to attend the conference as a participant, they may do so by registering as a guest. Standard guest, student and CGI alumni registration rates will apply.

What do I do if I need to cancel my registration?
Participants registered as standard guests, students or CGI alumni should contact finance@cgi.edu for assistance. Presenters should contact cenglish@cgi.edu for assistance.
