About Dr. Don Miller
Dr. Don Miller graduated from Argosy University in 2007 with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and a a Doctor of Behavioral Health from Cummings Graduate Institute for Behavioral health Studies. He has over 20 years’ experience providing individual, conjoint, family and group therapy with a focus on family functionality. He is a certified John Maxwell Coach & Speaker. Dr. Miller is a former National Training Associate for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. He is the CEO & Founder of The E Effect, LLC, which provides therapeutic services to youth and adults. His experience ranges from working with adolescents and adults in the areas of chemical dependency, mental health, youth development, team building, trauma, and education to providing workshops focusing on men and women issues. Dr. Miller is the former Unit Director and Area Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs and has served on various community boards, school advisory councils, Parent and Teachers Associations (PTAs), Partners-in-Education, and organizations that focus on the empowerment and education of others.
Additionally, Dr. Miller previously hosted a weekly radio show for 20 years in Atlanta called, “Miller On The Mic”. He has hosted an additional radio show called, “The Male Perspective, “which can be view at 106 live radio .com on YouTube. He has a podcast, “Men Making Better Decisions,” which can be heard on all podcast platforms. He recently published his 5th book, Weekly Wisdom …Renew, Restore & Rediscover a Better You, which is currently available at http://www.theeeffect.net. In addition, Dr. Miller is the author of four books: Poetically Yours, For the Heart Speaks, Between Mothers & Sons, A Journey of Healing, A Better View: Life, Love, Family, & Friends and Before, Afterschool and Summer Programs. How To Be Successful. He also published a brain-based program entitled, One To Grow On: Developing Character Through Literacy, which is currently being utilized in his private practice and in afterschool programs in San Antonio, Texas. This program focuses on developing and enhancing literacy and social skills in youth. Dr. Miller has published several articles that focus on the behavior of young people.
