CGI Announces Integrated Behavioral Health: Applying the Biodyne Model in Healthcare Book Pre-Order

Cummings Graduate Institute for Behavioral Health Studies (CGI) is proud to announce the publication of Integrated Behavioral Health: Applying the Biodyne Model in Healthcare, a new authoritative text advancing the future of integrated care through a modernized application of the Biodyne Model. The book is now available for pre-order ahead of its official publication date of July 3, 2026.

Published by Routledge/Taylor & Francis, the book brings together leading voices in integrated behavioral healthcare to address some of today’s most urgent healthcare challenges, including health disparities, trauma exposure, workforce strain, access to care, and sustainable system transformation. The text provides a comprehensive, post-pandemic reframing of integrated care grounded in evidence, innovation, and whole-person healthcare delivery.

The publication follows CGI’s earlier announcement introducing the project and its editorial leadership. Building on the foundational work of Drs. Nicholas and Janet Cummings, Integrated Behavioral Health: Applying the Biodyne Model in Healthcare expands the application of integrated behavioral health across contemporary healthcare systems and patient populations.

Edited by Dr. Cara English, Dr. U. Grant Baldwin Jr., and Dr. Ellen Fink-Samnick, the 494-page volume features contributions from CGI faculty, alumni, students, and healthcare experts working across integrated care settings worldwide.

In support of accessible integrated behavioral healthcare education, CGI has also arranged for Integrated Behavioral Health: Applying the Biodyne Model in Healthcare to be made available as an Open Access publication through the publisher. The Open Access edition will be available through Taylor & Francis Online under a Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, expanding access for students, educators, clinicians, and healthcare leaders worldwide.

A Comprehensive Roadmap for Modern Integrated Care

Structured across three sections and sixteen chapters, the book offers healthcare professionals, educators, executives, and students a practical roadmap for implementing integrated behavioral healthcare in modern systems of care. The text synthesizes foundational principles, healthcare system strategy, and population-based implementation approaches to prepare readers to disrupt ineffective and inefficient practices and policies in healthcare, and to engage with people in communities as partners in co-creating whole-person care ecosystems.
